I recorded the calls of Whooper Swans at 06:50 (while still dark) and later saw four flying east followed by two skeins of Pink-footed Geese. Here’s the recording of the Whoopers.

The recorder picked up an excellent movement of Pink-Footed Geese overnight which began around 23:20 with further skeins detected a to, 23:33, 00:39, 00:47, 01:11, 02:19, 02:43, 03:00 and 05:13. Fifty seven call were registered in total and the best … Continued
